Indigo Dye Workshop
Join us as we learn the basics of dyeing fabrics with natural indigo dye. This might be the most satisfying craft there is! No matter how you fold your fabric, you will end up with a unique and interesting design.
We will go over different folding techniques, from tie dye folds with rubber bands to traditional Shibori geometric shapes.
Students will leave with a dyed scarf and kitchen towel. All supplies are included. However, if you would like to bring additional items to dye, feel free.
*Note: Due to the messy nature of dyeing, you might want to wear something old or blue that you wouldn't mind getting blue drips on.
About the instructor: Cara Corey is a knitter and overall DIY enthusiast who also mans the store at Studio 333 Downtown. She has owned Mary Marie Knits since 2008 and enjoys crafting DIY projects, writing/blogging about them and teaching them as well.
