Block Printed Fall Linens 9/16
Come join in the creative camaraderie as we block print onto fabric and handcraft our own fall linens! The artistic good vibes always fill the studio as we play together with design and color.
No experience is required for this afternoon workshop, where you'll practice both traditional and contemporary methods to learn the ancient art of block printing. You'll carve and cut two original blocks, experiment with design layouts, pattern repeats and border prints. Then you'll print and bring home your one-of-a-kind set of tea towels, cloth napkins or a table runner. Just in time for your autumn holiday table or hostess gifts!
This workshop includes take-home instructions and materials, plus a 5-piece carving set that is yours to keep. (Returning students bring your carving set and choose from extra carving material, or extra linens to print.) Other take-home materials & kits will be available for purchase.
Never designed before? Can't draw? No worries. This is a supportive, positive environment. Kathy will provide ready help and design resources. You’ll print first onto practice fabric.
Tasty bites, beverages and wine will be provided. Make time for yourself and your creative pursuits, and join us for hand printing fun. You'll be amazed at what you create!
