About the Instructor, Imelda Jimenez-LaMar:
I’m a San Francisco based photographer helping people create awesome photos of everyday life with a non-technical approach. I primarily shoot with my mobile phone or point & shoot camera though I occasionally shoot film with my aunt’s old Minolta SLR camera.
I fell in love with photography in high school and continued to learn through taking photography classes for fun and practicing on my own. I love capturing beauty in my everyday life and hope to show others they can take interesting photographs no matter what camera they have, where they live or what their skill level is.
I currently lead photo walks in San Francisco to help others learn how to appreciate a neighborhood in a new way and have fun being curious with their camera.
