Hammered Hoop Earrings Workshop:
Learn how to cut/file/form and hammer a variety of different Hoop earring styles. All tools/hammers/steel blocks will be provided. We will practice on brass and move forward to Sterling Silver. In class you will be provided with unlimited brass to practice with, and enough Sterling Silver to complete 2 pairs of earrings - take home 1 pair of brass, and 2 pair of sterling hoops!
Techniques that make this workshop unique:
Hammering, work hardening metal. Students should have a grasp on handling tools and materials.
If you decide that you want to continue with this technique, Sterling Silver wire will be available for purchase, and kits are available to purchase from Blanca, including the tools needed to complete the project at home from start to finish. Kits will cost about $250. Please note that a tumbler is required, so students will need to fill out a form to purchase kit.
